BANGALORE: MERITTRAC Services, a provider of outsourced HR services for the BPO industry, plans to raise $2-4 million over the next few months to fund its global expansion plans. The company is considering expanding its operations to East Europe, Philippines, China and Japan among other regions, said Mr Madan Padaki, co-founder, MeritTrac, while unveiling the company's new initiative called `SkillsTrac' on Tuesday. SkillsTrac is a scientific assessment programme to identify the BPO talent pool in various geographies on behalf of State Governments across the country. The pilot project is based on understanding the specific attributes and skills required for different IT and BPO works and ability to change and supplement the education system to meet these requirements, he said. As part of the initiative, the company is currently working with the Andhra Pradesh and Kerala Governments. "We are also talking to other State Governments such as Rajasthan, Karnataka and West Bengal."
