Aptech bags Orissa Govt order

Our Bureau

CHENNAI: Aptech Ltd on Thursday said that it has bagged an order worth around Rs 7 crore from the Orissa Government to train primary students in over 300 schools across the State.

Within three months of completing this initiative, Aptech would also similarly train students in another 150 schools. The second phase of the project would rake in an additional Rs 3 crore. The project aims to cover all districts in the State, a communiqué from Aptech said.

It added that Aptech would train Government teachers in English, science, mathematics and computer literacy using multimedia content. Teachers would then impart the training to students.

While Aptech would install the hardware and software required for the project, these assets would be transferred to the Government after five years.
