Kochi Port has recorded an all-time high annual traffic of 135.72 lakh tonnes in 2003-04, a 4.2 per cent increase from the previous year's 130.24 lakh tonnes. This is despite a marked fall in the handling of fertliser raw materials, cement and cement clinker and coal, which are the regular items of port's cargo profile.
