SBT hikes NRE deposit rates

STATE Bank of Travancore (SBT) has increased the interest rates for NRE term deposits with effect from June 1.

The revised rate for deposits of one year to less than two years is 2.10 per cent, for two years to less than three years 2.90 per cent and for three years and up to five years 3.50 per cent.

The bank has also revised the interest rates on FCNR deposits in dollars and pound sterling with effect from May 31.

The revised rate for dollar deposits of two years to less than three years is 2.69 per cent, while the rate for pound sterling deposits of one year to less than two years is 4.97 per cent, two years to less than three years 5.16 per cent and for three years 5.25 per cent.
