Samsung range of `IT essential' products

Bangalore , June 2

SAMSUNG on Wednesday announced the launch of its new range of `IT essential' products ranging from colour laser printers, TFT LCD Monitors, CDT Monitors, Notebook Computers, DVD-RW and hard disk drives.

Announcing this, the President and CEO, Samsung South West Asia Regional Headquarters and MD Samsung India, Mr K.S. Kim, said the company wanted to offer convergence technologies in India at the same time it becomes available across the world.

Samsung India, which earned revenues of Rs 4,000 crore last year, expects to clock a growth of 30 per cent during the year while the IT business, accounting for a third of its revenues, was expected to grow at 45-50 per cent, said Mr Vivek Prakash, VP-IT product sales. Growth was projected in all product segments, including the new product launches, Mr Prakash said.

The company announced the launch of its CLP range of colour laser printers, a 17" Note PC with a higher aspect ratio and brightness options, its Dali range of TFT LCD monitors in the 17" and 19" categories, a DVD Writer with 4.7 GB storage capacity and a 2.5" HDD with 40 GB data storage capacity.
