Audiology clinic to be upgraded

THE German Consulate in the city has given a Rs 2.5 lakh assistance to upgrade and modernise an audiology clinic in the State.

The clinic, located in Hooghly district is run by an NGO — Pratibandhi Kalyan Kendra (PKK) — which has been working with nearly 1400 children with disabilities in West Bengal and Orissa over the last four decades.

Expressing solidarity with the efforts of the NGO, the German Consul General in the city, Mr Erhand Zander, along with his vice-consul, Mr Ernst Schewring, inaugurated the new electronic and ear-mould laboratory.
