Great Singapore Sale made more `attractive'

Our Bureau

Chennai , June 7

THE Great Singapore Sale, which got off the ground on May 28 this year, has been extended by two weeks from last year. For the first time, it has been extended to Changi Airport in the city-state. A press release said travellers in transit could look forward to good deals from over 150 duty-free shops in the airport.

At this year's sale, Singapore Tourism has also launched `Shop & Eat Tours.' Visitors can go on an `Ethnic Trail' across Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam or the Heartland Trail for a glimpse of Singaporean life in Toa Payoh and Holland Village.

A wide variety of goods including electronics, fashion, jewellery, cosmetics and watches are on offer. Events and promotions are being held at virtually every mall and shoppers have an opportunity to win prizes and walk away with exclusive giveaways, the press release adds. The shopping festival will end on July 25.
