EUROPEAN business communication services provider COLT Telecom Group will set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in India to outsource its back office and technical support functions.

The proposed subsidiary, COLT Technology Services India Ltd, would become operational by September and provide technical support to its core business in Europe, according to a company release.

"Service support is one of the critical aspects of our business model and a key to customer satisfaction. We consider India as a crucial market with the availability of an immense talent pool, an understanding of high-end technical services and fast adoption towards global practices," the release, quoting COLT Technology Services Chief Operations Officer, Mr Richard Adams, said.
