MIRZA Tanners Ltd has reported a 68 per cent jump in turnover at Rs 55.87 crore during the fourth quarter of 2003-04, against a turnover of Rs 33.23 crore during the same quarter the previous year.

The company has reported a 98 per cent growth in profit before tax at Rs 7.43 crore during the same period.

For the fiscal 2003-04, the company has reported a 14.27 per cent jump in turnover at Rs 188.49 crore, against a turnover of Rs 164.95 crore the previous financial year. The profit before tax during the same period has gone up by 34.20 per cent at Rs.23.97 crore, against Rs.17.86 crore in 2002-03.

After providing for taxation at Rs 5.07 crore and making a provision for deferred tax liability at Rs 2.15 crore, the net profit for the last fiscal stood at Rs 16.74 crore, against Rs 13.95 crore in 2002-03, the release said.
