LG Electronics gets British standard certification

New Delhi , June 9

LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd (LGEIL) has received OHSAS 18001:1999 certification from the British Standard Institution (BSI) for a systematic approach towards occupational health and safety management system.

According to Mr Arvind Kumar Singh, Manager, EESH Team (Energy, Environment, Safety and Health), LGEIL, said, "We follow the LG worldwide EESH norms which is in line with the OHSAS 18001:1999 requirements, therefore, it was not difficult to align ourselves with the certification norms. We have become the first overseas subsidiary of the LG Electronics to receive this certification."
