Hyderabad , June 11

MURLI Agro Products Ltd (MAPL), the Nagpur-based, Rs 350-crore turnover company, has announced the commissioning of its 15 MW thermal power plant for captive consumption in a record time of 11 months.

The power plant was set up at an investment of only Rs 22 crore, against a benchmark industry average of Rs 45 crore. The new plant along with the existing 3 MW adds to a capacity of 18 MW, which would enable the company to save substantially on power costs, MAPL informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
