Spot prices up

THE spot rubber market improved on Friday. The covering groups pushed up the prices procuring the narrow arrivals. Sheet rubber RSS 4 closed at Rs 61.50 against Rs 61.25 on Thursday.

The rubber futures continued the bull run on Friday. The near month July delivery was quoted at Rs 61.84 (Rs 60.52), August delivery at Rs 59.50 (Rs 58.63) and September delivery at Rs 58.40 (Rs 57.49) per kg for RSS 4.

The Friday physical market rates per kg were as follows: RSS 4 Rs 61.50 (Rs 61.25), RSS 5 Rs 60 (Rs 59.50), ungraded Rs 59 (Rs 59), ISNR 20 Rs 57 (Rs 57) and latex 60% Rs 46.50 (Rs 46)
