ANALOG Devices Inc, a semiconductor signal processing applications solutions provider, has announced its new Blackfin Fusiv platform that helps deliver secure, high speed data, voice and video convergence in a single solution.

The Director of Network Media Platforms for Analog Devices, Mr Hari Surapaneni, said the new convergence platform would enable high quality video, voice and data services for applications such as data and media gateways, integrated access devices both for enterprise and consumer markets.

"For instance, in the case of digital media processing, we expect this to cut down the costs of some electronic parts for television sets. From about $100 million in sales from this product business this year, we expect to grow this to about $300 million by next year," he explained.

. Convergence at the architectural level, apart from helping better delivery, has security built into the system, Mr Surapaneni said addressing a press conference here on Thursday.
