Outsourcing TeleTech to expand operations Our Bureau
Bangalore , June 11 TELETECH Services (India) Pvt Ltd, the BPO joint venture between TeleTech Holdings and Bharti TeleTech Ltd, plans to add between 2,000-3,000 people to its operations over the next 12-16 months, said the company's president and CEO, Mr Sanjay Kapoor. The company, which currently has a little less than 500 people, expects its 1,000 seat-centre in Delhi to be operational in the next quarter, Mr Kapoor said. TeleTech India has 250 people operating from its Okhla centre. Its 500-seat Gurgaon centre has a little over 200 people. "We would be looking at about three to four destinations in the western and southern parts of the country to expand our operations later this year," Mr Kapoor said. However, he declined to quantify the investments that the company planned to pump in to expand its India operations. "Investments will not be a constraint and will be brought in by the joint venture partner," Mr Kapoor said, adding that the company has so far invested $20 million in setting up the Indian operations. TeleTech India offers a wide gamut of customer management solutions and BPO services It is already handling the call centre operations for Bharti's circles in North India.
