New Delhi , June 11

ADIDAS today said that Adidas India will be separated from Southeast Asia and instead fall under the company's Asia Pacific operations while announcing Mr Andreas Geliner as the new Managing Director of Indian operations from August 1.

"In view of the geographic differences, we will separate Adidas India from Area Southeast Asia and this will help us fully maximise the growth potential of the Indian market. I am confident of Andreas' ability to take in the challenges ahead and guide Adidas to a leadership position in the growing Indian market," the Senior Vice-president of Adidas Asia Pacific, Mr Christophe Bezu, said in a statement from Hong Kong.

Mr Geliners is currently heading the company's Malaysian operations and brings close to 10 years of Adidas experience to the new role.
