Pranab's assurance to DRDO

BANGALORE: The Defence Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, on Sunday assured scientists at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of `all the needful support and co-operation' from his Ministry. According to official sources at DRDO, on his one-day visit to the city, the Minister witnessed flight demonstration of Tejas, two IJT aircraft and a flight demo of Dhruva.

The Minister also visited the Lighting Test Facility and MMR (Multi-mode radar) at the Centre for Airborne Systems, the main Aircraft Static Testing Facility in HAL and three corporate environment facilities at ADA, the sources said.

At LRDE, the Minister saw an exhibition of various products by other DRDO labs. The Minister expressed his satisfaction at the `technical development in Bangalore,' according to the sources.
