Discussion on gauge conversion between Mangalore and Bangalore

MANGALORE: The Mangalore MP, Mr D.V. Sadananda Gowda, has said that he has held discussions with Railway officials on gauge conversion between Mangalore and Bangalore.

The officials have assured him that the work on the stretch between Kabakaputtur and Subrahmanya would be completed by November 15.

Speaking to a section of the media on the sidelines of a function here , he said gauge conversion work between Subrahmanya and Sakaleshpur is likely to be completed by March 2005.

Mr Gowda said he would work towards finding a solution to the problems faced by coffee growers in Kodagu district.
