`MBA offers high return on investment'

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , June 14

THE rate of return on investment in an MBA course is fabulous, and made up the difference between the salaries that a new incumbent earns after passing out with an MBA degree and what one would have received had one gone to job market after finishing graduation, according to the In-charge Director of Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Prof R.K. Mishra.

He revealed the research findings on management education here on Monday, on the eve of inaugurating the fresh batch of PGDBM of the IPE, which is equated to an MBA by the Association of Indian Universities.

Quoting a study undertaken by Prof Amartya Sen, Nobel Laureate, he said that some experts attribute the difference not only to the management education but also to the capabilities inculcated during the course of completing management education.

Inaugurating the fresh batch of PGDBM, the Chairman of Shantha Biotechnics, Mr K.I. Varaprasad Reddy, advised the students to become job providers and not job seekers.
