Rubber continues to rule steady

PHYSICAL rubber prices continued to rule steady on Tuesday. Most of the buyers stayed back unwilling to enhance their quotations further. There were no sellers even at these levels while the arrivals hit the bottom. Volumes were poor.

In futures section, near-month July was quoted at Rs.62.55 (Rs 61.97) a kg for RSS 4. The August delivery was quoted at Rs 59.60 (Rs 59.58) and September delivery at Rs 58.21 (Rs 58.23) per kg.

The Tuesday spot market rates per kg were as follows: RSS 4 Rs 64 (Rs 64); RSS 5 Rs 61 (Rs 61); ungraded Rs 60 (Rs 60); ISNR 20 Rs 57.50 (Rs 57.50); and latex 60% Rs 47 (Rs 47).
