Mergers & Acquisitions Global majors eyeing Indian banks: KPMG Our Bureau
New Delhi , June 16 GLOBAL financial giants are keenly eyeing Indian private sector banks for mergers and acquisition (M&A) opportunities, according to a KPMG research on the private banking and wealth management industry. Terming the Asia-Pacific region as a "hot spot" for acquiring private banks, the KPMG research said that global financial majors were keenly looking at Indian banks for establishing their footprints in the region. "Significant rise in wealth creation rate in the past decade is being keenly observed by the global players. Several of them have already indicated interest in entering this market," KPMG India's Executive Director, Mr Vikram Utamsingh, said in a release.
