Kerala's ceiling on treasury drawals

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has authorised its department heads to fix monthly ceilings on amounts that could be withdrawn from the treasury by officials for funding activities of the respective departments.

The monthly ceiling should not exceed one-fourteenth of the annual budget allocation for the concerned department. This directive has been made applicable for local self-government institutions also. In case any department wanted more than the monthly ceiling authorised, it should get prior permission to the effect from the Finance Department.
