Purvita Chatterjee

Mumbai , June 18

REDIFFUSION DY&R has bagged the Tata-Star DTH venture — Space TV. Without disclosing the size of the account, Officials at Rediffusion DY&R said that only the creative account was with the agency while Space TV was yet to decide on its media buying agency.

The much-hyped joint venture between Tatas and Rupert Murdoch-controlled Star group is understood to have got all the Government clearances for starting the Rs 1,600-crore direct-to-home venture in India.

The venture under the name Space TV had been pending clearance from various Government agencies since September last year when the promoters submitted the proposal to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.

Mr Vikram Kaushik has recently been appointed at COO of Space TV, having moved from Colgate Palmolive.

Recently Rediffusion DY&R has also been awarded the Tata Group's corporate account. The Rs 40-crore account moved from FCB Ulka.

Officials at Rediffusion DY&R, said: ``We will be creating a campaign to commemorate the centenary year of the Tatas.'' Rediffusion DY&R has already been handling the Tata Motors and Taj accounts belonging to the Tata Group.
