MANGALORE: Corporation Bank and ICFAI University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to publish research papers submitted and discussed at the Bank Economists' Conference (BECON) 2002, as books.

Corporation Bank, under the auspices of Indian Banks' Association (IBA), hosted the 24th BECON in Bangalore from December 27 to 29, 2002.

A bank release said that it had permitted ICFAI Books - publication division of ICFAI University, Hyderabad - to reproduce few articles from the BECON volumes in their books on banking, on two earlier occasions.

ICFAI Books has sought the bank's permission for converting all papers and articles published in BECON-2002 volumes into theme-based books on banking.

Mr M.V. Nair, General Manager of Corporation Bank, and Mr N. Rajshekar, Dean, ICFAI University Press, signed the agreement in Mangalore on June 17, the release added.
