Spiralling coconut oil!

A retail vendor selling coconut oil in Kochi. The rise in coconut oil prices is reported to have resulted in large-scale adulteration. Non-availability of copra due to continuous rains has led to spurt in prices forcing consumers to shift to other edible oils. Currently, coconut oil prices are ruling at Rs 6,675 a quintal against Rs 5,950 at the start of last month.
