Following the introduction of entry tax for milk brought from outside, truck operators are taking by-routes such as Pollachi-Palakkad via Plachimada, as seen in the picture, to avoid check-posts on the highways. An estimated 10 lakh litres of milk enter the State, which should fetch the Government Rs 10 crore a year.
