THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) facility here is going to have ayurvedic and homoeopathic units attached to it.

Announcing this here, an official spokesman said that Mr L. Kuriakose, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, and Chairman of the Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee, would declare the two units open at a function on Wednesday. He also quoted Dr Joyce Mathew, Joint Director, Central Government Health Scheme, Thiruvananthapuram, as saying that the beneficiaries could directly avail of the new facilities by producing valid CGHS identity cards.

Reimbursement facility under CS (MA) rules availed of by CGHS beneficiaries for the above medical streams would be stopped with effect from June 23.
