Telecommunications Ericsson wins another Bharti deal Our Bureau
New Delhi , June 22 BHARTI Tele-Ventures has signed a $15-million deal with Swedish technology major Ericsson for supply of Intelligent Network solutions across Bharti's nationwide cellular network. The deal follows a $750-million contract between Bharti and Ericsson for managing the latter's GSM network for a period 10 years. "Ericsson has been awarded a contract by Bharti to supply India's first nationwide single vendor Intelligent Network (IN) solution and pre-paid system to provide functionality such as realtime cost and spending control. The agreement covers all of Bharti's existing and soon to be launched mobile systems in India," a statement from Ericsson said.
