KRRS `vanilla' meet tomorrow

MANGALORE: The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) will hold a consultation meeting on marketing strategies for vanilla, here on June 25.

The General Secretary of KRRS, Mr Sunny D'Souza, told presspersons here on Wednesday that farmers, representatives of industries and officials of the Spices Board would attend the meeting.

Agents representing firms in Germany and Australia, who are interested in procuring nearly 30 tonnes of vanilla beans for their clients, are likely to attend the meeting.

The former President of Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative (Campco) Ltd, Mr B. Nagaraj Shetty, would inaugurate the meeting, he added.
