Hardware D-Link India launches networking products Our Bureau
Bangalore , June 24 D-LINK India Ltd has launched its locally-designed and developed networking and communications products. The routers and firewalls launched are based on Intel's Xscale technology and are part of the company's focus on products catering to local needs. Announcing this, Mr K.R. Naik, CMD, said the company plans to invest more on R&D even as the products succeed in the market as they have overseas. It would also start developing more high-end networking products in India, he said. D-Link is looking at primarily targeting the small and medium business and SOHO segments in the Indian market with the new routers and firewalls. In the Indian networking space, the SMB and SOHO segment are growing apace, well over 20 per cent y-o-y and since the locally developed products come with a cost advantage, we expect to garner a significant part of the market, Mr Naik said.
