ISPs Madurai BSNL introduces direct Internet access Our Bureau
Madurai , June 25 MADURAI Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has introduced direct Internet access service that enables the browser in the Internet to make calls from telephone simultaneously. Mr K. Subbiah, BSNL General Manager, said that a subscriber could use of the round-the-clock high-speed Internet connections (up to 128 kbps) without telephone pulse charges. The subscribers have to pay according to the size of the data uploaded or downloaded. The subscribers don't have to pay for the Internet account. A separate bill for Internet usage will be issued with the telephone bill. The service is available in three plans. According to plan I, for a monthly rental of Rs 850, free data transfer up to 0.5 GB is allowed. For every additional data transfer of 100 MB, Rs 120 will be charged. In plan II, for a monthly rental of Rs 1,800, free transfer of 1.5 GB is allowed and for every additional transfer of 100 MB, Rs 100 will be charged. In plan III, the subscriber can have unlimited transfer of data round-the-clock for a monthly rental of Rs 5,500. While activation charges for the first two plans is Rs 2,000, for plan III the charge will be Rs 3,000.
