Power BHEL develops bowl mill for thermal stations Our Bureau
Hyderabad , June 26 BHEL's Ramachandrapuram unit has for the first time in the country developed a higher capacity bowl mill to cater to the needs of super thermal power stations of 660 MW and above. The first such mill was flagged off to the Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Station of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB), on Friday by the Executive Director of R.C. Puram unit, Mr Ramachandra Rao, and the Executive Director of the Corporate Research and Development, Mr S. Balagurunathan, for installation and online performance assessment. The BHEL-280 Mill, has been developed in-house with the help of corporate R&D. It is compact in design and has higher operating efficiency, according to a BHEL R.C. Puram press release.
