UCO Bank pays dividend to Govt

KOLKATA: Union Commercial (UCO) Bank has paid a dividend of Rs 48 crore to the Union Government, which holds 75 per cent of its shares.

A dividend cheque of the amount was handed over to the Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, by the bank's Chairman and Managing Director, Mr V.P. Shetty, recently in New Delhi.

UCO Bank had earlier declared eight per cent dividend for the year 2003-04.
