Raids on ration depots in Kerala decried

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Civil Supplies Officers' Association has alleged that the recent raids on ration sub-depots run by the Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation and the subsequent suspension orders served on 11 of its employees were `motivated'.

The association alleged that the employees were forcibly made to sign statements relating to stock position even as ration items were being given away. It demanded that the mass suspension orders be scrapped forthwith.
