Cartoon Network buys Jungle Tales

CARTOON Network has announced that it has acquired Jungle Tales, the series produced by Delhi-based Moving Picture Company India Ltd.

Jungle Tales is also the eighth locally produced animation series, acquired by the Network for its Indian audiences.

It is an adaptation of stories from the Panchatantra, a well-known collection of animal fables, aimed at imparting wisdom, wit and morals through simple stories and incidents.

This series is in long-form 3D animation series for television.

"Acquiring Jungle Tales is another leap forward for the Network, and we are delighted to provide a high-quality platform for content developed by Indian production houses," a press release said quoting Mr Ian Diamond, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia Inc.
