AP Govt appoints panel chief for talks with PW

Hyderabad , June 29

THE Andhra Pradesh Government has nominated former Special Chief Secretary and Convenor of the Committee of Concerned Citizens, Mr S.R. Sankaran, as the coordinator for the committee of mediators to be appointed for holding talks with the People's War (PW), the State Home Minister, Mr K. Jana Reddy, told newspersons here on Tuesday.

Mr Reddy said he has also replied to the letter recently written by PW expressing willingness to participate in talks. The Government's response in this regard was handed over to the revolutionary balladeer, Gaddar.

The Home Minister, however, refused to disclose the contents of his letter and also that of the letter written by PW State Committee Secretary, Ramakrishna.
