New ITPO chief

New Delhi , June 30

THE Union Government has appointed Mr N.N. Khanna, a 1966-batch IAS officer, as Chairman and Managing Director of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).

Mr Khanna has been appointed as CMD for a period of three years in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government, according to a release.

Mr Champak Chatterjee, a 1971-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as an additional secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation against a vacant post.

Mr Chatterjee is currently Establishment Officer and Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training.

The release also said Mr Badal K. Das, an IAS officer and at present Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has been appointed as Establishment Officer and Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training in place of Mr Chatterjee.
