AP assembly adjourned

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The State Legislative Assembly was adjourned abruptly by the Speaker, Mr K. R. Suresh Reddy, on Wednesday without transacting any business as the members of the Telugu Desam Party rushed to the podium demanding further discussion on the law and order situation in the State, particularly in the light of the recent killing of TDP activists in Anantapur district.

As soon as the House assembled in the morning, the TDP raised the issue. But the Speaker disallowed discussion stating that the issue was discussed for more than three hours in the Assembly on Tuesday and the Home Minister, Mr. K. Jana Reddy, had also replied to the debate.
