EIH net profit up at Rs 28.17 cr

EIH Ltd a member of the Oberoi group, has registered a net profit of Rs 28.17 crore for the financial year 2003-04 which is a jump of 82 per cent over the previous year.

The company has recorded a 16 per cent increase in revenues at Rs 504.49 crore during the financial year 2003-04 up from Rs 435.28 crore recorded during the same period in the previous year.

During the period under review, EIH's operating profit increased by 46 per cent to touch Rs 118.49 crore up from Rs 81.32 crore recorded during 2002-03.

The EIH board of directors, which met in Kolkata on Wednesday, announced the audited results for the financial year 2003-04.

The board has proposed a dividend of Rs 3 (30 per cent) per equity share.

The meeting also re-designated the Managing Director, Mr S.S. Mukherji, as the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director from July 1 this year.

Besides, Mr Vikram Oberoi and Mr Arjun Oberoi have been inducted as wholetime directors and designated Deputy Managing Directors from July 1.
