Cabinet okays repeal of five legislations

New Delhi , June 30

THE Union Cabinet has approved the repeal of five enactments that are currently being administered by the Finance Ministry.

The five legislations that are to be repealed are the Sugar (Special Excise Duty) Act, 1959, The Mineral Products (Additional Duties of excise and customs) Act, 1958, The Central Duties of Excise (Retrospective Exemption) Act, 1986, The Customs and Excise Revenue Appellate Tribunal Act, 1986 and The Customs and Central Excise Laws (Amendment) Act 1988.
