New Delhi , July 3

THE Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified standard input-output norms (SIONs) for 59 new export items.

The fixation of SIONs would facilitate the issue of advance licences to exporters of these items without reference to the same to the DGFT headquarters repeatedly, an official release said.

Out of the 59 new norms, 46 norms relate to chemicals and allied products, eight to engineering products, one to plastic product, three to food products and two to textile products.

The DGFT has also made amendments/corrections/deletions in the SIONs for 83 export items.
