EPFO snaps ties with SBM in Karnataka

MANGALORE: The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced that the arrangement with State Bank of Mysore for disbursement of pension under the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995, and Employees' Family Pension Fund Scheme, 1971, has been terminated in Karnataka with effect from July 1.

A press release by the sub-regional office of EPFO said here on Wednesday that those drawing pension in State Bank of Mysore from any of the EPFO offices in Karnataka should open savings bank account in the branches of the designated banks. The banks are: Canara Bank, UTI Bank Ltd, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Syndicate Bank, Corporation Bank, and post offices.

They should also furnish the savings bank account number, PPO number, and a photocopy of the bank pass book to the Regional PF Commissioner-II, Sub Regional Office, Mangalore, to release the pension, the release added.
