Labour Ministry core group to monitor CMP schemes

THE Ministry of Labour has constituted a core group to monitor the implementation of policies and programmes regarding employment, contained in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government.

The 10-member core group would function under the chairmanship of the Labour Secretary. The other members in the group include Additional Secretary (Labour), Directors General of Employees' Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Employment & Training and Labour Welfare, Central Provident Fund Commissioner and three Joint Secretaries. The Labour & Employment Advisor would be the Member Secretary of the core group.

The core group would monitor the implementation of the policies and programmes in the CMP in a time bound, transparent and sincere manner.
