More reforms needed

In Budget 2004-05, the Finance Minister, has tried to maintain a balance between all sectors, paying special attention to agriculture, rural development, education and health. It is pleasing to be ensured that no one will go hungry, but hopefully the political will to initiate these measures will be forthcoming.

Water resources, SSS, traditional industries, agro-industries etc are to get priority. Employees should be happy for getting tax exemption up to 1 lakh and keeping EPF interest at the same rates. Senior citizens and weaker sections should also be happy. Most important will be to develop the required delivery systems.
