Kerala signs MoU for Alappuzha marina

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Mumbai-based Environmental and Consulting Pvt Ltd for setting up a Rs 300-crore marina and recreation harbour at Alappuzha.

Mr J. Sudhakaran, The Secretary, Cooperation and Ports, signed the MoU on behalf of the State Government, while Mr Ray Divakar, Director, represented Environmental Consulting at the special ceremony held at the Chief Minister's resting room in the Assembly Complex.

The Chief Minister, Mr A.K. Antony, and the Minister for Port and Co-operation, Mr M.V. Raghavan, were present on the occasion. A detailed project report is expected to be made available in six months, an official spokesman said.
