Mobile testing laboratories in AP

HYDERABAD: Strengthening the arms of consumers, the Department of Legal Metrology has introduced 35 mobile testing laboratories to check weights and measures used by traders in the State.

"This will enable the consumer in the remotest corner of the State to avail of the latest equipment to keep tabs on the erring traders," a Government release said.

During the year, the department would 30 training programmes to equip the staff with necessary skills.

Dr G. Vijayarama Rao, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology, recently opened Kautilya Conference Training Centre here on Friday, it added.
