CCEA nod for copra, raw jute MSP

NEW DELHI: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) of copra for 2004 season. The prices for milling copra have been increased by Rs 180 per quintal to Rs 3,500 per quintal.

The price of fair average quality ball copra has been increased by Rs 180 to Rs 3,750 per quintal. The Commission for Agricultural costs and Prices (CACP) had recommended these prices.The CCEA also approved the MSP for TD-5 grade for jute for ex-Assam for 2004-05 season at Rs 890 per quintal. This has been done on the basis of the recommendation of the CACP.
