Honda cars to cost more

NEW DELHI: Honda Siel Cars India Ltd has revised prices for its new City and Accord models, following the levy of 2 per cent education cess on excise and Customs duties as per the Union Budget.

While the prices of all models of the City has been increased by Rs 5,000, the increase for the Accord models is in the range of Rs 14,000 to Rs 17,000.

Maruti has already announced a slight increase in prices for its cars following the imposition of the cess, and other carmakers are expected to follow soon.

According to a General Motors spokesperson, the company plans to announce a 2 per cent price hike across all its models in the next few days.
