People Umesh Chandra to head TNS offshore research Our Bureau
New Delhi , July 13 MR Umesh Chandra has been appointed as the new head of TNS India's Offshore Research Services Centre (ORSC), based in Hyderabad. Mr Chandra brings to TNS a 20-year work experience spanning project management, computer software and computer-related marketing information system and even aeronautics, according to a company release. TNS India, which deals with off-shoring business in the market research industry, is looking for ambitious growth in the country. The division was started in 2000 and offers a comprehensive set of services to market research companies overseas. Since its inception, the ORSC has been finding ever-increasing users for its service. The division has been consistently growing at a rapid pace. In 2004, TNS India expanded its ORSC operations from being a provider of research-related services to other processes, including network/system support functions and software development for the group, the release added.
