GSA India Chapter Chairman

BANGALORE: The Global Mobile Suppliers Association has appointed Mr A. Sethu Raman, Director, Marketing & Business Development, Alcatel South Asia, as Chairman of the GSA India Chapter from this month.

He assumes office in place of Mr Rakesh Malik, who completed his six- months term. GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) is the technology platform serving over 1,046 million customers (end May 2004) and adopted by 207 countries.

The GSA India Chapter is a co-operative vendor-led effort with the active participation of Alcatel, Ericsson, Nokia and Siemens to support the development of GSM/GPRS/EDGE/ WCDMA services in India. The Chapter brings information and clarity on key industry issues about GSM.
