Chennai , July 13

THE crowded home entertainment market has another entrant, and this time it is positioned between the national players and the regional ones.

NEB Electronics Pvt Ltd on Tuesday launched its range of colour TVs, DVDs, VCDs and home theatre systems in Tamil Nadu in time to catch the excitement of the `aadi' sales. The products will soon be available in Kerala, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Mr Eric Braganza, Managing Director, NEB Electronics Pvt Ltd, said it was positioned as a niche brand below the national players and slightly above the regional ones.

The success of the product in the market lies in the dealer network and the people behind it, he said.

Manufacturing is done in Noida near Delhi under contract. NEB Electronics will brand and market the products. He said that the company would spend six per cent of its turnover on advertising. It has projected a turnover of Rs 175 crore for nine months of this financial year.
